"In life, it’s not where you go, but who you travel with."
My parents moved up to Cumbria as they loved the Lake District, so my two sisters and I are Cumbrian born and bred!
We spent a lot of time exploring the fells growing up, with my dad encouraging us up the hills with the promise of sweets at the top, that would ‘appear’ from under his ‘magic hat’!
I have lived here for the majority of my life and believe it is one of the most beautiful parts of this big wide world.
What I am most drawn to and love when planning weddings and events is the emotion evoked in people.
The experience of bringing your family and friends together to celebrate something truly special, releasing all those feelings of happiness, excitement, enjoyment and pride!
This stems back to when I was a child. Birthdays, anniversaries and special occasions were always celebrated in style… and they still are!
A fond yearly memory of mine was when my parents would squeeze as many children as they possibly could into our kitchen for a party tea and my mum would present her masterpiece of a cake… and this was not just any cake! It would represent whatever my favourite character was at that time in my life, created with hundreds of sweets and chocolate that would soon be demolished! Thomas the tank, Arial from the little mermaid, Princess Aurora from sleeping beauty to name a few.
Weddings and events are about that personalisation and the representation of you as a couple, or as an individual. That guest experience that makes people go ‘oh wow’ or ‘I didn’t expect that’ which mean so much.
I am down to earth and passionate about everything I do. I love meeting new people, listening to their stories, experiencing new things, and to travel as much as I can.
I have always worked with people and within the community, planning, co-ordinating and managing a wide range of events and experiences, striving to help and support anyone to reach their goals and aspirations, no matter what that may look like.
I fell completely in love with weddings and everything to do with them when I was planning my own big day. My husband and I have a real passion for travel, so that was the natural theme for our wedding. It took place in a beautiful white marquee on our village green. I made sure that lots of little details were included, pushing the boundaries so I could create something truly unique and special for everyone.
I have trained with the prestigious Wedding Academy to gain credibility and to provide the most professional approach to all my weddings and events. I also believe in continuous learning to ensure I am the best planner that I can be.
So please do get in touch… I look forward to hearing from you!
